Understanding Key Figures

Welcome to this detailed article on how to read the Sales Report, an essential feature for record store owners. Follow these simple steps to navigate and understand the crucial information this report provides.

Accessing the Sales Report

  1. From the Backoffice main menu, open the Orders page,

  2. Select the "Report" button at the top of the page to open the sales report.

Understanding the Sales Report

Default Display and Key Information

To reduce accounting errors, the report is automatically displayed by payment date for a period selected from the Orders page filter.

It shows the following information:

  • Grand Total: The total amount of transactions.

  • Subtotal excl. shipping costs: The total amount of sales, excluding shipping costs.

  • Total excl. taxes: Total sales, excluding taxes.

  • Shipping excl. taxes: Total shipping costs, excluding taxes.

  • Second-hand profit: The profit margin on sales of second-hand items.

Sales details by Origins

View total transactions by point of sale:

  • Point of Sale: The total amount of in-store transactions.

  • Online: Total amount of transactions from the Eshop

  • Discogs: Total amount of transactions from Discogs Marketplace

  • Bandcamp: Total amount of transactions from Bandcamp for Label

Sales details by Product Type

View total sales by type of product sold:

  • New releases

  • Second-hand

  • Books

  • Products

  • Gift cards

Collected VAT rates

This specific section displays the VAT rates collected and configured for your account. To learn more about taxes, please consult the "Taxes" section of our system, to add the taxes you need.

Payment methods

Finally, to help you prepare your daily cash reports, the payment methods section details the number of transactions carried out, and the total amount by method:

  • Cash

  • Credit card

  • Check

  • Bank transfer

  • Gift card

  • PayPal

  • Stripe

Share a sales report

Once you've selected your period, select "Send Report" to access the e-mail module, to share the report with your accountant:

1. Fill in the following fields:

  • Email address

  • Email Subject

  • Message

2. Submit your message.

Once the PDF sales report has been generated, click on "Send Sales Report".

Note: You can also choose to send a copy to yourself.
