How to Update Listings using the CSV Importer

Note: This guide assumes basic familiarity with Apple Numbers or similar spreadsheet software.

Follow the steps below to update or change listing values using the Listings Updater. You can use this process to implement updates to multiple values at one time.

Tutorial: Update listing_media_condition

In this example we change Mint (M) to Very Good Plus (VG+)

  1. Export a CSV of your inventory that includes the listings you need to update.

  2. Open the file in Apple Numbers.

  3. Turn on filters and locate the listing_media_condition column.

  4. Apply a quick filter to show only rows containing Mint (M)

  5. Use Find & Replace (Command + F) and:

    • Find: Mint (M)

    • Replace with: Very Good Plus (VG+)

  6. Delete data from all columns except:

    • listing_id

    • listing_media_condition

  7. Ensure listing_id data is in Column A by deleting item_title column.

  8. Export the cleaned CSV from Numbers (File > Export To > CSV).

  9. Go to: https://admin.common-ground.io/import/listings-update

  10. Drop your cleaned CSV into the import area.

  11. Review & validate the changes.

  12. Click Submit Upload to confirm the update.

Note: The listing_id is required to identify and update the correct item.
