Create and manage gift cards for your Backoffice and Eshop

Updated over 3 months ago

A Gift Card is an inventory product item.

Gift Cards can be added to your Eshop as an inventory item and sold like any other product. They can also be provisionally generated through the Voucher Menu in your Backoffice.

Each Gift Card Voucher that is generated is assigned a unique code. This code can be be applied to the total amount of an order, either by you or by a customer. Only one code can be applied per order at one time. You can determine expiry date and use limits during creation. For a range of values of Gift Card ($10, $50, $100...) create a listing for each value.

Gift Card item and listing settings are managed from it's inventory item page.

A Gift Card's activity and spending is managed in the Vouchers Menu.

Create an Eshop Gift Card Product

  1. Select (+) Add an item

  2. Select Add a product

  3. Tick the option This is a gift card product

  4. Enter essential item information (marked with an *) and others as needed.

  5. Submit.

The Gift Card Product is now added to your inventory. For a range of values of Gift Card ($10, $50, $100...) create a listing for each value. This item can be added to a Checkout for a customer at your physical shop, or purchased online through your Eshop (if listing is Published).

If an in-store Checkout is paid for and marked as collected directly from the Checkout, a unique Gift Card code will be automatically generated when the Checkout is submitted.

In an Order, if you click on the Gift Card code, you can view further details and email the code to the customer. The code can be generated directly from the Order page if needed.

Gift Cards added through the Voucher Menu are not added to the inventory.
