How to export data in CSV format

Get the most out of your data

What kinds of data can I export?

In addition to Sales Reports, there are 4 types of data exports available from the Common Ground Backoffice.

  • Orders

  • Listings

  • Sales for Listings

  • Customers

When a data export is requested, it will appear in the Exports / Jobs page when ready.

Before exporting, you can apply custom filters to fine tune your results, and use the bulk selector to refine the selection further.

Export Orders

Provides a detailed view of order payment data.

  1. Go to the Orders tab.

  2. Filter your selection as needed (Date, Order Status etc)

  3. Click the Export orders button in the top right corner.

Export Listings

Provides detailed information associated with listings such as release data, price, media conditions, and asset links. Includes Product and Book items.

  1. Go to the Inventory tab from Main left menu.

  2. Filter your selection as needed.

  3. Click the Export listings button in the top right corner.

Export Sales for Listings

Provides a snapshot of detailed sales data for individual listings.

  1. Go to the Inventory tab from Main left menu.

  2. Filter as needed and click the Export sales button in the top right corner

  3. Refine order date range as needed, and click Export sales for listings

Export Customers

Provides basic customer details in CSV format.

  1. Go to the Customers tab from Main left menu.

  2. Filter your selection if necessary.

  3. Click the Export customers button on the top right corner.

Download your data export

After requesting one of the above exports, the system will compile your data. Depending on file size, this can take a few minutes.

  1. Go to Exports/Jobs tab from Main left menu and your CSV file will be ready to download at the top of the list.

  2. Click Download to save the list to your computer.

Note: The bigger the data in the export, the longer the processing time.

Important: You can open CSV files in any table software such as Excel, Numbers or Open Office, provided your software is configured to open the file as a coma separated document.
