Add release items to my inventory

You can add release items to your inventory in several ways when you select Add item from main Header '+' icon.

  1. Search and add a release from the Discogs database (requires a connected Discogs account)

  2. Add a release by its Discogs release ID (requires a connected Discogs account)

  3. Add a release manually (without using Discogs)

  4. Add multiple releases at once using the CSV Stock Uploader.

When you add releases using Discogs database options or CSV Uploader, most of the release data is automatically filled in. This includes artist and format information, as well as track titles and images, saving you the time it would take to enter it manually.

Search through the Discogs database (requires a connected Discogs account)

In the search bar of the Add Release window, search the entire Discogs database by using a combination of terms such as artist name, catalog number and title.

With Discogs release ID (requires a connected Discogs account)

In the search bar of the Discogs release ID field, input the Discogs release ID (called the Release Code on Discogs).

Add a release without Discogs

You can add a release to your inventory and fill in its information manually. (For example, when the release doesn't exist on Discogs)

If you intend on selling this release on the Discogs marketplace, it must exist on Discogs and you must match the Discogs ID field with the (Discogs) Release Code. These numbers are the same, even though they are called by different names.

Releases that have been manually added can be updated to include Discogs data at a later time, as needed.

In all three cases above, you will be redirected to the Edit item page, to complete the process of adding an item to your inventory.

Once complete, Save item.

CSV Stock Uploader

This CSV stock uploader is a time saving tool that allows you to add listings to your Common Ground inventory in bulk. You can use data from an existing CSV or spreadsheet file, combined with data fetched from Discogs. If you already have a Discogs inventory synced, CSV upload isn't necessary.
