The Backoffice can tell you when something needs your attention: a new order, a message from a customer, or a reply from the Common Ground support team. You decide which events notify you from the Notifications tab of your profile.
Where to find your notification settings
Click your profile menu in the top right corner of the Backoffice.
Open Notification settings.
You can also go there directly: admin.common-ground.io/profile/notifications
Note: Notification settings are personal. Each admin on your account sets their own, so changing yours won't affect the rest of your team.
Where notifications appear
In the Backoffice: the bell icon in the top right corner lists your latest notifications.
By email: sent to the email address of your admin profile.
Available notifications
Tick the events you want to be notified about and untick the others. The main options are:
Orders: A customer places a new order or a payment is received and the customer sent you a message.
Customers: A customer has created an account in your Eshop.
New support message: The Common Ground support team replies to one of your support tickets.
You don't get notified about messages you send yourself. Other admins on your account still receive them if their settings allow it.
Get notified when support replies to your ticket
To make sure you never miss an answer from us, enable New support message. You'll then get an email each time we reply to one of your tickets, in addition to the notification in the Backoffice.
You can also follow all your tickets and our replies from the support section of your Backoffice.
Reduce the number of notifications
If you sell on Discogs, a single Discogs order can create several notifications: the order itself, then one for each Discogs update (order created, payment sent, payment received). These updates are sent as messages, so they count as New order customer message.
To keep things manageable:
Keep New online orders on so you're still alerted to every new order.
If you handle Discogs orders on the Discogs site, you can turn off New order customer message. Note that this also stops notifications for messages from your Eshop customers. You can still read every message in the Messages section of your Backoffice.
Not receiving notifications?
Check that the event is ticked in your notification settings.
Check your spam or promotions folder, and add Common Ground to your contacts.
Make sure the email address on your admin profile is correct.
Refresh the Backoffice page (Cmd + Shift + R on Mac, Ctrl + Shift + R on Windows).
If it still doesn't work, send us a ticket with a screenshot of your notification settings.
