Do I need internet to use Common Ground POS?

Yes. Common Ground POS is entirely cloud-based and hosted, providing you with the flexibility to access and manage your business from anywhere via internet or mobile network connection.

Does Common Ground POS stay in sync with my inventory?

Yes, of course.

Does a device registration count towards my account’s seat limit?

No. Devices registered on Common Ground POS do not count towards your account’s seat limit.

Is Common Ground POS compatible with Android?

At this time, the app is exclusively available on iOS 17 and later for iPhone and iPad. We do not have plans to release an Android version yet.

Is a Stripe account is required to use Common Ground POS

No, a Stripe account is not required, unless you want to use Stripe payment terminals.

Can I continue using my current payment terminal?

Yes, you can continue to use your current payment terminal and manually apply payment to a checkout.

Can I use multiple card readers with one iOS device?

Yes, you can connect multiple card readers, but only 3 can be active at a time. To switch between readers, go to the settings in the Common Ground POS app and select the desired reader.

Can I integrate my POS with other software or services?

Common Ground POS only supports Common Ground integration with Stripe.

Can I use a barcode reader to scan items?

Yes, and through the iPad’s camera.

How do I reset my password?

At login, from passcode screen, select ‘Reset my passcode’ at bottom.

How can I update the firmware on my card reader?

1) Ensure your card reader is connected to your iOS device.

2) pen the Common Ground POS app.

3) If a firmware update is available, the app will prompt you to update. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the update.

How can I add or remove items from a POS checkout?

1) Open the Common Ground POS app.

2) Go to the inventory management section.

3) To add an item, click “+” icon or scan with barcode. To remove an item, swift to the left from cart section, or select “-” icon.

How do I handle refunds or returns from POS?

Currently it is not possible to issue refunds through the POS app.

How do I apply a discount to a transaction from POS?

During the checkout process, Click 'Add' from Vouchers section to apply a discount.

What should I do if a card transaction fails from POS?

1) Check your Internet connection.

2) Ensure the card reader is connected properly.

3) Retry the transaction.

If the issue persists, contact support for further assistance.

Is there a way to track sales and generate reports from POS?

Yes, the Common Ground POS app includes reporting features.

1) Go to the Orders section in the app.

2) Select an order

3) Share by email from top page

What do I do if the card reader is not connecting to my iOS device?

1) Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your iOS device.

2) Make sure the card reader is charged.

3) Restart your iOS device and card reader.

Open the Common Ground POS app and try connecting again.

If the problem persists, refer to the troubleshooting guide in the app or contact support.

What do I do if I encounter a bug or technical issue?

1) Restart your iOS device and the POS app.

2) Ensure your app is up to date with the latest version.

3) If problem persists, contact support with detailed information about the issue, including screenshots if possible.
