Once you've synchronized your Discogs account with Common Ground, you're able to manage your inventory and sales directly on Common Ground.

The List to Discogs button allows users to create a new listing on Discogs using the same listing on Common Ground. The button automatically transfers all relevant information to the new Discogs listing, including the release title, artist name, label, format, condition, price, shipping details, and other relevant information.

To add a listing from your Common Ground inventory to Discogs :

  2. Within the listing field, select List to Discogs.

  3. When complete, the button will read Unlist from Discogs, which will allow you to do just that, should you need.

  • The 10 digit number under the button is the ID of your listing in your Marketplace inventory.

  • You can access the listing on Discogs Marketplace by clicking directly on the link.

Unlist item from Discogs

You can unlist the item at any time by selecting Unlist from Discogs. Click this button and your listing will be removed from your Discogs inventory.

As long as the stock for that listing is positive, listing will remain listed on Discogs Marketplace.

Listings which stock reaches 0 in Common Ground will be automatically unlisted from Discogs Marketplace.

Discrepancy Tool

A Discogs Import Error typically occurs during the automated process of importing sales data from Discogs to Common Ground. This can occur when there is missing or incomplete information in the Discogs listing, or when there is a discrepancy between the Discogs listing and the Common Ground database. In rare cases, the error can also happen if there is a problem with the connection between Discogs and Common Ground, such as a temporary server outage or API issue.

The main reasons triggering a Discogs Import Error:

  1. Inconsistency between the Discogs Release Code number and the Common Ground Discogs ID.

  2. Draft versions of the Discogs Release being accidentally added to the Common Ground inventory.

  3. Discogs listing being deleted or removed.

  4. Issues with the Discogs API or authentication.

  5. Unavailable or blocked Discogs user accounts.

This tool gives an overview of all Discogs listings compared to your Common Ground inventory. Listings on both platforms are usually tied to a unique ID which enables a synchronisation. โ€‹A discrepancy happens when an item is present on Discogs and your Common Ground inventory, but the listings aren't matched via the unique ID. In this case our systems flags it and proposes to unlist it from the Discogs marketplace.

Checking that no discrepancies are present regularly will avoid unwanted sales from Discogs and make sure your stocks are in sync.
