Introduction to Playlist and Collection
In the world of digital media, music, and entertainment, two fundamental concepts have revolutionized the way we consume and enjoy content: Playlists and Collections. These features not only enhance our experience but also offer unique ways to organize, discover, and relish your inventory (releases, products, books, goodies…) . Let's delve into these two exciting features that have reshaped the way we interact with our beloved media.
Playlists
A Playlists is a static selection of items from your inventory. This feature is mainly made for Dj Charts, walls, Label highlights… An additional description is available for each selected items, that allows to specifically promote each of them from an Article page.
Note: Whatever if item is sold out, Playlist will always continue to display selected items.
To create a Playslit, from Left main menu or from Eshop Editor menu, select "Playlist", then "Edit" or "Create Playlist". Enter a title for this new playlist, and Submit.
Note: Find releases, products or books, and path or link your playlist to a page.
Collections
A Collection is a dynamic filtered selection from your inventory (a Format, a Style, a Year…). This feature is mainly made for catalogue organization, categories and site navigation. A Collection can include a banner image, a title, and a description. A Collection also contain a specific URL to create internal redirects from your menus and pages.
Sort by availability, show only items price compared, choose your preferred view: tile, list, or full if available… and many other options to handle your collections.
Note: To create internal redirects, use an address like "/catalog" in the URL to avoid reloading the entire application when clicked and to preserve audio playback in the background.
To create a Collection, from Left main menu or from Eshop Editor menu:
1) Select "Collection", then "Create new collection".
2) Enter a title for this new collection
3) Submit, to edit.
